As a result of one member of our community, reporting one of his neighbours to the Ayuntamiento, for erecting a glassed in porch, the neighbour has received a heavy fine and ordered to take down the porch. It is not illegal to have a glassed in porch but it does require a 'Minor Works' ( Menos Obras } licence from the Ayuntamiento. The neighbour must now apply for the licence and the he can re-erect the glass porch. Please be aware, this licence must be obtained for all minor works which includes, Balcony extensions, Cassitas etc. I fear this incident has opened up a can of worms that will affect most of the owners on our community. I am now in possession of the form required for minor works.
